Hi,

I have 4 young ducks (approx. 7 months).  They have all embarked on their moult at the end of summer.  2 seemed to have a very light moult - mostly their chest etc. but have not lost their flight feathers.  One had a full moult and has grown back all feathers including flight feathers but 1 who I am mostly worried about seemed to have a massive moult - she has regrown new flight feathers but her chest still looks like she's in a moult.  I thought their wing feathers were the last to come through.  She is a quieter bird and I always worry about her health although she is eating well and generally alert she just looks very scrappy compared to the others - do you know what's going on or why there is a variance?

Thanks,
Rebecca.
