Hello, I am new at raising Muscovies and have a question.  I have one drake and 5 hens in 40' X 40' outdoor pen.  I've set out 7 nesting boxes.  First one started filling with eggs.
So, if I am lucky to have several hatches, do I need to separate the hens / broods / nests before they hatch?  The duck book I have says hens will start killing one anothers ducklings!  Is this true?

Thanks for your help and shared experiences.

Well??? By now you have your ansver , tell us about it  Huh Huh

No answer ? I have one . I had 2 hens in one nest (sharing ) another started laying one week later ,and 4th started one week latter , but went through 3 nest sites (fist clutch). In the pen I had 3 battling drakes , The sitting hens could not get to the water , drakes wanted to mate .I gave them time to calm down ( fat chance ) , so I separated them leaving one with the hens . Peace and quiet , first nest hatched , drake gently introduced himself and the pen is peaceful ,and 2 drakes heading to the freezer !!
