Title: Winter shelter in snowy Wisconsin?
Post by: SylviaMBT on March 06, 2013, 10:06:30 pm
Hi all,
I'm hoping to get our first Muscovies this spring and would like to keep adult breeders over next winter. Nights often dip to -20 with daytime highs only to 0. Should I plan for a heated coop?

We had -10 last year and our Muscovites were fine in a wooden hutch with a few inches of straw under them. They have lovely down to keep them warm and if there are a few of them they can cuddle up together! But if no one else answers 'google it!' To be sure
